Answers to some common problems

What should I do if my heat pump won’t switch on?

· Check the batteries in the remote

· Check the fuse box

· Check the isolating switch located near the outdoor unit is switched on

What should I do if my heat pump doesn’t appear to be heating?

· Check it is in the right mode (heat or sun symbol)

· Turn the temperature up and run for 30 minutes

· Turn the fan speed up and run for 30 minutes

· In colder months, it’s normal for heat pumps to automatically defrost. If the power light is flashing, this normally means the heat pump is in defrost mode. Wait for 30 minutes and then it should start to heat again.

What does it mean if there is water coming from the outdoor unit?

· This is normal and just condensation coming from the unit

What does it mean if the power light is flashing?

· In colder months, it’s normal for heat pumps to automatically defrost. If the power light is flashing, this normally means the heat pump is in defrost mode. Wait for 30 minutes and then it should start to heat again.
